About This Project

1 is a project that explored the translating of oral history into visual and typographic design.

The book is based on an interview with founder of One Day Seyoum, Vanessa Tsehaye. One Day Seyoum is an organization that is working for the release of her uncle and other journalists who have been wrongfully imprisoned in Eritrea as well as against other human rights violations carried out by the Eritrean government.

Thematically, the book is focused on the theme one oneness in a broad manner that explores ideas regarding freedom of speech, politics, extremism, media and more.
